We are bringing back the good ole' fashioned summer vacation that you remember from your childhood. I remember exploring the woods and the stream, catching tadpoles by day and fireflys by night. Perhaps big huge vacations weren't in fashion or we just couldn't afford it then. I was relaxed, happy, and content to spend time with my family. So now it's 2008 and you might have heard the popular new term: staycation. What is a staycation? It's a vacation taken in your own backyard. Millions of Americans and holiday-goers across the globe will be sticking close to home instead of huge, expensive, and exhausting vacations. I don't know about you but my family didn't go on many trips flying around the globe, nor across country. We did more daytrips, and peaceful time spent at home. With gas prices and the economy, a few marketing geniuses trying to sell outdoor furniture and grills invented the term called "staycation". So let's run with it and have a rockin' time. Each week this summer, I will be giving you prompts for making the most of summer whether you are taking a staycation, a daycation, or just enjoying your town and your backyard. Each prompt comes with a project idea that you could do either as a digital page or a hybrid (digital + traditional) page, album, or project.
