Hi everyone! I was so excited when WST went public with their library (gallery). It's nothing short of amazing and extremely inspiring to see how you all are using the designs from the store.

Here are a couple of my favorite layouts that were posted this week.

This layout by Star74 caught my eye in the gallery. I love the color scheme she chose and the bits of patterned paper peeking out around the border. The vintage tone she gave to the photos just add to the  overall soothing quality of the layout. I especially love how the photos tell the story, so that the journaling isn't even necessary to read. Great work, Star!

and this one by ChereN. Wow. I love the side brackets with the tied ribbon connecting them. Her title work here is awesome, the way she used the "boy wonder" number stamp and highlighted her daughter's age with both the acrylic stamp and the squiggly arrow is nothing short of just plain cool. Gorgeous work, Chere!

Boy, what a weekend! Thank you all for your support during our big "Get Ready for National Scrapbooking Day" - we hope you are all stocked up and ready to sit down on Saturday, May 3, and tell story after story. Please share you layouts with us in our gallery, we'd love to see them!

the old cliche "they grow up so fast" is very true.  it's happening right now, before your eyes!  record the things they love, make lists of what they like to do, places they like to go.  these lists make great journaling spots!

{heart song}

Hey everyone!

We've been chatting a little bit about music lately behind the scenes at {we are} storytellers and it reminded me that music is one of my favorite sources of inspiration.  In fact the best thing about music is that it is inspiring in so many ways.  For me, I find that a good song goes a long way to creating a certain mood, and often those moods are just what I need to be creative. 

But more than that, when it comes to scrapping memories, my favorite songs and artists provide two ways to spark my creativity.  One, I've noticed some really amazing design and graphics in the world of music.  I spotted this funky list of inspirational graphic album art, which is an article well worth checking out for inspiration.

But secondly, there's the words. We have all been there and felt like the words to a song were written just for us.  Thus the title of this post - the {heart song}, that transports you somewhere else and makes you feel.  If you're struggling for the right quote or a new title, or you just want to tap into something that really captures that feeling, go check out the lyrics to your favorite songs.  Lyrics can end up being the whole basis to your pages and projects, provide a little touch like the perfect title, or just get you in the mood to scrap :)

Here's some classic lyrics that I'll leave you with, that I've seen scrapped a few times in the community and that I find so inspiring.

How Charming!

Hey everyone! Happy Saturday from us here at the {WST} blog to you!
Today I want to bring your attention to a great little line of element packs, Angela Powers's Charm School sets. These adorable glass charm sets are rimmed in metal for a fabulous look on any page...they're so great and versatile.

Charm School: 101 is packed with various charms of all shapes and sizes. Charms with abstract designs, phrases and word art are the main focus of this ellie pack. I love the bracket shaped charms and the square ones, too. The colors vary from soft pink to deep red to aqua and green. You can find a charm for just about any page in this pack!

The other charm pack, Charm School: Love is chock full of adorable love themed charms. Hearts, bracket shapes and circles are the 3 main shapes in this pack, coupled with adorable stripes, polkas and word art. I love the XOXO and hand-drawn heart charm in this pack. Perfect for layouts about family and friends, or any special loved one.

I love charms and so when I saw Angela's packs I knew I had to do a spotlight here on the blog. She's done such a fabulous job with these that I had to scrap a simple page highlighting those charms.
