I've always found the phrase 'photorealistic' to be completely ironic. For me, photos are incredibly important. I LOVE having these myriad little records of moments - both special occasions or ordinary days. But for me, they're far from 'realistic', in the sense that a moment, no matter how ordinary it seemed at the time, always has a certain magic to it when you look back at a photo. Maybe it's the magic that's always there in our ordinary moments, but we don't always have the time to appreciate it until we get the chance to look back on our memories. That's why we scrap! I LOVE that, and completely adore the emotions that are evoked by photos. We talk a lot about telling your story around here - and what better way to do so than to take those perfect photos and the emotions that they bring out, and concentrate your pages on that. I'm a scrapper of few words, and though from time to time I do like to journal a lot to really tell my story better, I frequently feel like it's enough to just put a great photo on a page with a title that is little more than the way the photo makes me feel. I recently scrapped this photo of my nephew with his dad, and included nothing much more than the title 'Fun'.
And if you're looking for something to add that special little somethin' somethin' to your photos, check out Dress UP! Couture Photo Art by Two Sisters Designs. These are really, REALLY cool.
So get out there and have fun telling your stories through photos that really show the 'magic' in the moments in your life :)
